My paintings usually start with a very simple idea; colour or colour pairing, a shape or texture. The process of taking this simple idea to the finished painting is unpredictable; I often find that the paint is telling me what to do., rather than the other way round. This leads to a range of styles, both abstract and representational.

Painting has always been a part of my life, and in recent years it has expanded to fill the majority of my spare time. I am always finding new techniques to use, and I am curious to know what this will produce in my future artwork
