Shona McQueen's landscapes in oils represent an honest eye for detail and sincere interpretation of picture-making qualities including texture, perspective and composition. The artist employs several techniques for producing paintings including the use photographs and sketches done on location. Photographs may also be used as reference to produce figures and portraits to commission.

Commissions may be undertaken in oils, pastel and gouache with a selection of subjects. This includes cats/dogs/plants and flowers in pastels, figures, still-life and landscape in gouache. Landscapes are also executed in oils.

The normal time to complete work is one two to three weeks, to a price range of £200 for framed pastels, £100-£200 for unframed gouache depending on size, and £100 for oil (example 10 x 12 ins, unframed)
