'I qualified as a textile designer at Glasgow School of Art but decided
fairly early on that I was more interested in painting animals. I have
been specialising in this field for over thirty years. Commissions have
taken me all over Britain and many parts of the United States and my
work has been sold to a wide selection of other countries. I have painted
many prize winning cattle, sheep, horses and dogs but also some very
well-loved pets. I have an in-depth knowledge of many breeds.
As a relaxation I enjoy painting landscapes and animals in less formal
surroundings in oil, watercolour and pastel. My paintings have appeared
in 'Two Hundred Years of British Farm Livestock' published by the British
Museum (Natural History)'
