| Brenda Haigh | |
|
Fine artist Brenda Haigh works in oils on a large scale and clearly the artist is attracted to the work of Tamara de Lempicka. Many of the paintings also capturing the Art Deco period and reflecting this in colours and patterns of the early 20th century. However, Brenda Haighs background and connections with South Africa appear to have embellished her palette with a touch of the exotic. The Art Deco style is tempered with a more 'primitive' response to the decorative arts - and with it is added mystery. This personal and more intimate interpretation of colour, pattern and form gives Brenda Haighs work a more original feeling that transcends the mere imitation of a particular style. The artist works to commission in oils with wildlife and figure subjects.
The normal time to complete work is two weeks to a price range of £500
- £600. |
